Carlee Russell Missing Alabama

After calling 911 to report seeing a toddler there, a 25-year-old woman disappeared off the side of an Alabama motorway. She is now safe at home, but authorities have not disclosed what transpired or where she was during their two-day search.

According to authorities, Carlethia "Carlee" Nichole Russell of Hoover, Alabama, called 911 on Thursday night to say that she was stopping by an interstate to check on a toddler she had seen there. Mother Talitha Russell said AL.com that Carlee Russell was screaming when the nursing student, who also worked part-time at a spa, was on the phone with her brother's girlfriend.

Thursday

Russell departs The Summit in Birmingham at 8:20 p.m. to go to The Colonnade and pick up the supper she ordered. Russell spoke to people she knew on her mobile between the time she left The Colonnade and when she dialled 911, but police haven't found anyone else with her.

9:34 p.m. — Russell dials 911 and says she is stopping to check on a toddler she saw on the side of Interstate 459 wearing just a diaper.

After Russell's 911 call hangs up at 9:36 p.m., she makes a call to a relative and vanishes during that chat.

When Hoover police officers reach the scene five minutes after being called, they discover Russell's wig, mobile and purse—which contained her Apple Watch—on the road next to her car.

Saturday

A 911 caller reports that Russell has made it home on foot at 10:44 p.m. Russell is treated and released after being taken to a hospital for evaluation. To get Russell's statement, detectives visit her at home and in the hospital.

THE INVESTIGATION: According to authorities, Russell's 911 call was the sole timely report of a youngster on the motorway.

Earlier, according to police, a witness may have seen a grey car with a man standing outside of it, but that report was not mentioned in the statement made public on Monday.

In order to pinpoint the time period, authorities are comparing 911 call data with traffic camera film that captures a portion of the incident.

The investigation is still ongoing and is anticipated to last over the next few days, according to police, and includes information from Russell's initial statement to detectives. Detectives have followed Russell's path back to the moment she vanished, and they are convinced that will remain the case, according to the police.

Police said that the update comprised all the information they could currently give, therefore they withheld any details on Russell's whereabouts during the two-day hunt on Monday.

We are happy for the Russell family and ask that their desires for privacy be honoured as they continue to relax and recuperate from this incident.
